hi,
i have problem with my wintv pvr usb on kernel 2.6.18 (driver in-kernel-tree).
i've put firmware (looks-like-successfuly ripped with your perl script) in a
proper location, depmod -a has been made, thou after
plugging device in nothing is beeing done, except for standard
usb-some-device-found-raport:
ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.2: wakeup
usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 8
usb 3-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
when i do manual modprobe pvrusb2 i get only:
Linux video capture interface: v2.00
usbcore: registered new driver pvrusb2
drivers/media/video/pvrusb2/pvrusb2-main.c: Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2 MPEG2
Encoder/Tuner : V4L in-tree version
drivers/media/video/pvrusb2/pvrusb2-main.c: Debug mask is 15 (0xf)
so (ofcourse) cat /dev/video0 doesnt work.
i don't have idea what is wrong, since other usb devices work ok (mouse,
pendrives...).
i use Debian Sarge 3.1r2, with own kernel.
