Good that you determined which barrel plug to use.
For some time now I have been using a large-ish 12VDC power supply [1]
to power everything that isn't powered directly from the wall (set-top
boxes, ethernet switches & the like). Of course with separate fuses for
each device [2].
My tuners are also powered from this 12VDC power supply, via 6VDC
battery eliminators [3].
