Ok I'll try it.
Currently I use only a vanilla kernel v2.6.32.2 with two changes:
	tda10048.ko without firmware size check
tda18271.ko forced to discover always TDA18271HN/C1
I use firmware from WinTV6 v4.8 CD (Hcw73bda.sys is v3.1.26126 size is
513152 bytes)
I manually extract new dvb-fe-tda10048-1.0.fw firmware (size is 23492
bytes).

Leonardo:

I'm not the expert on DVB tuners innards (I just maintain a bridge driver,
pvrusb2, which can use them as supplied by v4l-dvb). And I don't have an
HVR-1900 with which I can test, being that I'm in the USA.

However I asked the person (Mike Krufky) who knows about these, and he's a
little puzzled by exactly what software revisions you are running.
Apparently this setup has been supported in v4l-dvb for over a year.
He recommends building what is in v4l-dvb tip (Mercurial repository):

http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb

Alternatively the needed changes are definitely here:

http://kernellabs.com/hg/~mkrufky/tda8295/

You mentioned a 2.6.32.2 kernel in your message, and I would presume that if
the needed changes have been in v4l-dvb for at least a year, then they
should also be in that kernel version anyway. But try building one of those
v4l-dvb repositories against your kernel and see if that makes a difference.
