Error code -71 can happen if there is USB data corruption.  It can't be 
caused by the pvrusb2 driver.  However any number of hardware things can 
cause such a problem.  I would try swapping out parts in the data path 
(USB cable, any hub(s) you are using, the controller).  If the USB 
controller is integral to the motherboard, I'd try another PC if I 
could, just as a test.  Or temporarily install a second controller in an 
expansion slot.  Can another USB 2.0 hi-speed device operate from that 
same port?  Even with all that said, I could still see how a marginal 
PVR USB2 device could cause this as well (if the FX2 isn't healthy then 
it could also corrupt the USB protocol).
