Don't feel bad. We're all vulnerable to this sort of thing. If you look
back into the list archives from last December you'll see me asking around
about a symptom I was experiencing on a 29xxx device (B/W video). I
immediately assumed it was a driver bug. Unlike your case, in my
situation it took me 3 whole weeks of experimentation before I learned
that perhaps I should try it out under Windows - whereupon I immediately
reproduced the issue and shortly afterwards RMA'ed the device :-)
