Interesting. I googled on the VID and came to this jp
page:

It would be interesting to see the inside of the
device to see what chips are in it. That could be the
start of integrating it.

I'm not sure if there are commands that you can use
(softwarewise) to find out what is in it, but Mike
undoubtly can help you with that.

It might be interesting to see the relevant info from
/proc/bus/usb/devices as well
